Announcement on General Education Required Course Adjustment

Dear Teachers, Students, and Teaching Assistants,

Greetings!

Starting from the first semester of the 113th academic year, the required general education course will be adjusted to "Basic Programming for Artificial Intelligence." This adjustment aims to better equip students to meet the challenges of the digital age by providing essential skills and knowledge.

The course "Introduction to Programming for Artificial Intelligence" will cover the fundamental concepts, principles, and applications of artificial intelligence, with a focus on basic programming skills. This will enable students to understand and develop various AI-related applications. The course will integrate theory with practice, reinforcing learning through hands-on programming exercises.

Please note: Starting from the 113th academic year, this course will replace the general education required course "Fundamentals of Programming." Please be sure to check the updated course schedule.

Students who have already completed "Fundamentals of Programming" (including students who have extended their study period) are considered to have met the graduation requirement and do not need to take this course again.

Additionally, two new courses have been introduced: "Introduction to Artificial Intelligence Educational Applications" and "Introduction to Data Science Educational Applications" both related to artificial intelligence. We encourage students to enroll in these courses.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us. Thank you for your understanding and support.

Wishing everyone a fulfilling and enjoyable new semester!

Sincerely,
Center For General Education
